Yoga Nidra is the yogic science of relaxation.

It’s a practice where our mind and mental awareness become disassociated with our sensory channels. When this practice is done correctly, we experience a rest that is sometimes more deeply restorative than sleep. It also connects us to our psychic awareness. We can experience a state that moves beyond physical limitation.  I highly recommend it for anyone suffering with insomnia, chronic fatigue, AND for everyone else as well. I practice mine in the middle of the day, or the afternoon right when that fatigue slump hits a lot of people.

Try this everyday for 5 days, once you find a favourite, be sure to re-visit it often. Hint, the more you think you need a nap, the more you should give this a go and deeply unwind the body and nervous system to ensure the body is moving into rest in a more relaxed state.

Balancing the left and right side of the body.

A focus point of light.

I relax, I release, I let go.

Three parts of the body.

Anything can happen.
