Gut Health
I treat my gut health by way of a combination of these things; intuitive intelligence, functional medicine intelligence, Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine principals.
-
1. Regulate the nervous system
2. Recondition the mind / your relationship to your symptoms
3. Build the stomach lining / reduce inflammation
4. Support stomach acid
5. Improve daily digestion
6. Remove harmful bacteria / toxins

I treat my gut health by way of a combination of these things; intuitive intelligence, functional medicine intelligence, ayurvedic and chinese medicine principals. For example, each season, particular organs need more support than others. And different foods support these at different times too. Eating seasonally shouldn’t be too complicated, but here I explain to you some examples of how I approach my health and healing physically.
Let’s say it is summer, and I am experiencing a lot of worry, the organ related to the emotion of worry is the spleen, the season related to the spleen is summer… oh what do you know, it is summer and I am experiencing symptoms of this organ needing more support? No wonder I was craving all of these yellow foods that support the spleen.I was even selecting yellow clothing without realising. I will then also bring about correlating movements and meditations to support this and focus on the emotional healing of that emotion and organ too.
Foods that support the spleen are, celery, organic meat, black pepper, yellow foods and vegetables, citrus.
So every season I intuitively notice what organ needs more support and I gravitate to seasonal foods and practices to support this.

I did my cleansing gently over a long period of time using sustainable practices you can and should weave into your life weekly or monthly.
-
Chlorella/Spirullina/Wheatgrass/ Barley – I this combo
Binders – Bentonite clay, charcoal Once I started incorporating charcoal into my life, I begun seeing huge changes in my physical wellbeing.
I use this combo - I take my binders first thing in the morning and use things to further that along such as an infra-red sauna, celery juice, hot lemon water.
- Ghee
I cook my vegetables in this and use it in my kitchari cleanses. Medicinally as I was still healing I would have half a teaspoon first thing in the morning.- Kitchari cleanses
Once monthly if you are unwell Or integrate as you feel called to if you are very well See the recipe here -
Mould Heavy metals
Microplastics
Environmental toxins
Parasites
Undigested foods

Body odour
Body odour can mean a few things but here are some I would consider focusing on. - Undigested foods in the colon/intestines
- Try; Having a teaspoon of ghee before meals
- The Kitchari cleanse monthly Mineral deficiency -
Body odour can also be a sign of mineral deficiency,
Try;
- Taking two magnesium glycerinate tablets before bed
- Adding fulvic minerals hydrogen drink bottle
If you have had health isssues, been plant based for some time, had a lot of stress in your life, you may have difficulty breaking down fats and meats. You might notice things like bloating, body odour, brain fog and fatigue after eating all as signs of low stomach acid which leads to a difficulty in breaking down foods.I focused on leaner meats in small doses and worked my way up.

NOT skipping meals
Stabilising your blood glucose, this means adequate protein, not skipping meals, not having sugar and fruits as meals
Taking care of your future self; this is ONE OF THE MOST important ones; You put your future self before your present self…. that means - Do your washing and cleaning up in the moment not later - Write a meal plan - Do a grocery shop once per week, wash and prep your veggies, foods drinks - Clean your space, never leave a space in a way you wouldn’t want to find it - Plan some outfits out
Respect yourself and your belonging; never leave the house without washing your hands, brushing your hair and teeth, put some tender love and care into the way you feel in each moment, and you will protect your energy by doing this
Protect your energy by taking accountability and responsibility for yourself; you are the person creating your world. If you leave the house unorganised and in a chaotic state, that is what you will experience in other people throughout your day. So before you head out, prepare yourself and your space, do a quick mini meditation, set your priorities and intentions, breathe and enjoy
When you have cravings, think about your future self
When you feel lazy, think about your future self
If you cant exercise, work with your lymphatic system and blood circulatory system
Wait three hours between meals to give your digestive system space to digest the previous meal, if however you are struggling with hypoglycaemia or an eating disorder please do not focus on the three hour space out as your priority, focus on stabilising your blood glucose and managing your hypoglycaemia, you are going to help this along with more protein

Other gut healing tips.
1.You must start telling your body a new story, this is what the rest of the Amavi portal is for.
2. Know that your lymphatic system plays a big role in your digestive health (see lymph classes)
3. Start the day with protein to stabilise blood sugar - if you have gut and health issues start with half a teaspoon of ghee to lubricate and cleanse your colon and help you to better absorb minerals and nutrients
4. Space your meals out giving you digestive system a 3 hour break in between to digest if you can
5. Your nervous system being regulated and your inner dialogue being empowering and supportive for you is really one of the biggest aspects of gut healing
6. Infra red saunas with binders are AMAZING - Try not to eat right either side of these because your blood flow is not in the gut when you are in a sauna - 20 minutes minimum could be useful but if your blood sugar is dropping - its not worth the stress “holding out” and eat when you need to
7. The stomach massage throughout the MOVE page is AMAZING for long term big scale healing as it supports digestion and removal of built up toxins
